There will be a Walk2Us market on the CSU Chico Campus on November 8th from 12:00 noon until 4:00 PM. In attendance will be about 12 farmers, 4 crafts people, and 4 to 6 student organizations doing health education and outreach.
Richard Hirshen, head chef at Sierra Nevada Brewery Restaurant will conduct a shopping tour of the market and follow up with a cooking demonstration.
This one time event is a lead in to the "This Way to Sustainability" and 3rd Annual Organic Farm & Food Conferences. It is our hope to use this market as a leverage tool for grants and an permanent - on campus - market.
